On Beauty and the Society (My First Explorative Plate)

This explorative plate for Production Methods 1 really got me hyped and challenged. I had fun experimenting with thread and combining it with collage and digital art.
My concept was about the standards of beauty in the society and how it affects women.
I want to show in this work what's actually happening: women trying to follow that girl from TV: flawless white skin, thin build, long black hair, eyebrows and pointy nose. She tries to be this girl, so society will accept her--so she wouldn't be "othered".
And when it affects her self-esteem, it causes anxiety and ruins her confidence just because she's not "beautiful" enough, or tall enough, or white enough or thin enough.
I think, the idea of beauty should be abstract so that women could be free to be themselves, to express themselves. Not confined into other's "what-you-should-be"s.
